A fundamentally sound defender who uses disciplined footwork to turn ball handlers and generate extra chances for his team. DeGourville is a reliable lead guard with good positional size, strength and an impressive command of the basketball. He changes speeds effectively and does a good job keeping defenders off balance, allowing him to create scoring opportunities at all three levels. DeGourville has a high basketball IQ and plays with good poise, consistently making sound decisions with the ball in his hands.

DeGourville exploded for 28 points, leading all scorers throughout Sunday’s opening action. He is a confident scorer with a tight handle and a deep bag of tricks to create separation and get downhill. The lead guard is super crafty around the rim, using multiple types of footwork to throw off the timing of shot blockers and finish at the cup through traffic. He is a very capable three-level scorer with the ability to stretch the floor from deep when defenders go under screens or give him open looks from outside. DeGourville is a solid prospect from the 2028 class who is set for a breakout junior year at Sequoyah High School after a big summer.

The highly skilled sophomore averaged 19 points per game this season for Sequoyah while establishing himself as one of the area’s top young backcourt prospects. Capable of playing either guard spot, he combines a high basketball IQ with good pace, feel, and decision making. A reliable shot maker from the perimeter, he can score both on and off the ball while also using his above-average quickness to create offense off the dribble. In addition to his scoring ability, he sees the floor well and consistently finds open teammates, making him a well rounded offensive playmaker.

A First Team All-Region selection for the Chiefs, DeGourville averaged 19 points and 4 assists per game, showcasing his all-around offensive production. He is a strong, physical three-level scorer with a good feel for the game, capable of creating his own offense and making plays for others. DeGourville also competes on the defensive end, proving to be a willing and capable defender, which adds to his value as a well-rounded backcourt prospect.

This sophomore point guard who is just getting started as a college prospect but has impressed both on the PUMA circuit and this season at Sequoyah. DeGourville is a reliable decision maker with the basketball in his hands, can finish with either hand in the paint and has good court vision to find open teammates. He is instinctive at the defensive end which can lead to steals that turn his defense into offense.

The crafty scoring guard had 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block in a loss to Heritage School. Donovan netted a three and hit a pull-up jumper from the mid-range after a spin move. DeGourville  has success in the paint against length, dropping in a pair of floaters and scoring on an And-1 drive.
