He shares the ball cohesively within offensive flow and makes the extra pass for a better look. Giannini impacted the game in other areas as well while digging for steals on drives, crashing the offensive glass from the guard location for putbacks or resets, and pushing for pace immediately after defensive boards. He brings solid overall court awareness to affect the game and help his team make winning plays.

Giannini provided a two-way mindset throughout the event, making an impact with his ability to pressure the defense and stay active on the other end. Offensively, he used hesitation moves to get by defenders and showed good passing feel, finding teammates and putting them in position to score. He also well attacking closeouts and putting pressure on the interior. Defensively, Giannini brought a strong level of focus, picking up the ball and using good lateral quickness to stay in front. He fought through screens and created deflections, showing an enthusiasm to make an impact defensively.

Saw Giannini compete about a month ago at one of our circuit events with his Full Package squad. He fills a bigger role for his school team and meets that demand. I watched him play once this past weekend and he’s comfortable from 3 land spotting up off the catch. He sees the floor well for dish offs after drawing help and making extra swing passes on the perimeter to open guys. Giannini has a fundamental feel to fill a 1 or 2 man’s role at next level and should see stock continue to rise through his senior season.

Another impactful guard for the 17U Full Package squad that made a March Madness type run to the championship game on Sunday. Giannini presents dynamic ability to create offense in a variety of ways and played to some big key moments. Shows touch with floater in the lane, spin move off bounce, and multiple strong drives at the rim. Plays cohesively well with others on team to make winning plays. Hit game winner in Saturday morning contest in a multi-overtime thriller. Most intrigued by just how tough, humble, and hard nosed he plays which should continue to help gain traction at next level.

A build with solid guard play for Full Package Black. In the quarterfinal vs lockdown, he was extremely aggressive at pushing the tempo offensively. Complements that with solid skills with the ball and playmaking. He always crashed for rebounds on both ends of the floor, which is something you don’t see often with guards. Started to show more confidence as a shooter in the semifinal matchup with a few three’s.
