About Diego

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Aggressive always pick up 94 feet. Unselfish always feed my teamates and very confident

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the court, my mentality is all about intensity, energy, and love for the game. I take pride in locking up on defense that’s where I set the tone I love pressuring the ball getting stops, and making the other team uncomfortable. On offense I’m always looking to attack the rim with confidence and aggression. No matter what’s happening in the game I stay positive and uplift my teammates.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve built my skills through hard work and constant time in the gym. I’ve connected with great coaches, trainers, and teammates who’ve helped shape me into a leader and team player. I always stay locked in, but I also give back helping younger players and supporting my community.By helping them as a mentor or simply being a positive influence

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve faced my many of challenges, injuries that kept me off the court and moments when I wasn’t selected for certain teams. It was tough but I didn’t let it break me. Instead, it fueled me. I used every setback as motivation to work harder stay in the gym, and prove I belong. Those tough times built my mindset and made me stronger. Now, I’m here because of that perseverance.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can compete at a high level on the court and pursue my academic goals. I want to study dentistry because I’m passionate about helping people and making impact in my community Ideally I’d love to be at a school in Texas or Arizona somewhere with a strong athletic program, great academics and a supportive environment where I can grow as both a person & athlete

Diego is a very well rounded combo guard. He does a great job of attacking the holes in the defense to create offensive advantages for his team. Diego is able to get to the paint and draw the eyes of the defense. His decision making in these situations is phenomenal. Once the defense crashes to the ball, Diego is able to dish off dimes to his teammates resulting in wide open looks. Diego is able to play under control and finish at the rim even over some of the taller defenders he has matched up against. Camacho also excels from beyond the arc. He uses his ability to relocate while off of the ball to find open spots on the floor and knock down solid looks from the three point line.
