Devon kept catching my eye with his play this weekend in Baltimore with Team Attack . His precise shot-creating ability was on full display. He was able to go left or right and get straight to his pullup. It hardly mattered who stepped in front of Devon with his creativity and effectiveness in scoring. He was very confident in his ability and looked for the ball each time down.

Pettibone hit tough shots throughout the game and has no issue navigating to different spots. Pettibone scored from behind the arc off the ball as a catch and shooter. He found ways to finish around the bucket. He has a good pulse on the game and didn’t look to force plays into existence. He would be a nice pickup at the small college level.

. Devon is a great shooter with serious range. Devon competes on the defensive end and is a good passer. Devon isn’t the most efficient scorer, but I think in a situation where he has less offensive responsibility, he could fix that. Devon had 19 in a close win over Stone Bridge, then had 13 in a win over Pot Falls.

as a guy outside of the top 100 to watch this season, and he got off to a great start in a narrow win over Dominion. Devon is a great shooter and a scrappy player on both ends. He lived at the foul line and finished with 24 points. Devon will put up some big scoring performances this season on a Briar Woods team that will ask a lot from him.

had a good Sophomore season for Briar Woods, but I think he will elevate his game in a big way as a Junior. I felt watching Devon last year that he had a lot of the tools you need to be successful as a guard, he just needed to tighten up parts of his game. Improving his efficiency and not turning the ball over as much are the next steps in Devon’s game. Devon is a great shooter and is a good passer. He is quick and an active defender. When I saw Devon for
Team Attack
in May I loved what he was able to do as a spot-up shooter, and he hit some big shots in big moments.

had an excellent year for Briar Woods. He can shoot the ball and has a nice handle. He is a good passer, and a game I saw of him in January against Riverside was one of his most impressive performances. Devon takes a lot of tough shots, and even though he struggled with efficiency at times this year, you can tell the type of trust people around him have in him.

had a nice week. He opened the week with 20 points and 4 assists in an OT win over Riverside. He had a great game shooting the ball, knocking down 3 threes in a big performance. Then, Pettibone had 16 points and 5 steals on Friday in a hard-fought win over James Wood. Devon led Briar to a 2-1 week with some excellent performances.
