About Devin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play tough defense and set the tone with contact. I anticipate plays and rotations and make the opponents take difficult shots.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I remain calm, maintain steady composure and focus on making the correct reads.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’ve played club basketball since I was 5 years old. I started with Harlandale Little Dribblers and then spent four years with i9 Sports. At age 10, I joined AAU and have continued competing ever since. I also played for my middle school team at Stinson Middle School and for Brandeis in high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed the ability to communicate clearly, stay composed, and stay mentally tough through the game. I learn from my mistakes and use challenges as opportunities to grow. I’m able to accept feedback, adjust, and stay committed to improving every day.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I’ve faced is learning how to stay mentally tough during difficult moments. Whether it was a tough loss, limited playing time, or making mistakes in big situations. Instead of letting those moments discourage me, I’ve learned to use them as motivation. I’ve had to push myself to communicate better, accept feedback, and grow from criticism.
