About Derrick

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am extremely athletic, I have extremely high motor, skilled 3 level scorer and a tough defender. Combo guard, which allows me to help bring the ball up and assit our offense to function. Very coachable.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am family oriented and I base my surroundings as such. I work extremely hard at everything I do, pushing for the best. I have a high motor and excellent work ethics. I'm about putting in the work and getting the job done. I also want my teammates to thrive and push hard.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was in the Juinor honor society and have recieved academic awards for achieve Honor roll and leadership awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been a leader on and off the floor for a long time. I have always been one to lead in the classroom, the community assisting my peers and elders. I have been. Leader by example for my teammates. They look for me to help and guide them, especially in extreme competitive games.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I came in as a freshman starting on varsity. It was Challenging to get the seniors or juniors to trust in my as an asset for our program. Once they've seen me play in the summer league coming into my freshman year, they started to trust in me has one of there top scorers and defender.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will allow me to develop as. Strong student and a athlete. Looking for that environment that will allow me to thrive and achieve life goals I have set for myself. A college that I can call home away from home.

Robinson’s offensive versatility, athleticism in the open floor, and willingness to defend multiple positions will all play key roles in the Crusaders’ success looking ahead this season. He proved his worth as a spot-up threat while others such as point guard Ean McLaughlin Ean McLaughlin Ean McLaughlin 5'8" | PG Riverdale Baptist | 2026 State MD got into the paint for kick-outs or zipped skip passes his way in the corners. On breakaway opportunities, Robinson can explode above the rim and finish with authority, which also played a huge role in establishing early momentum in their win over MSJ. He’s a tough defender who can guard four positions with competency at the high school level and is always looking to jump the lane with his inside hand to create deflections for runouts.
