While it has been a bit of a struggle for Akron STVM on the offensive end of the court, defensively the Irish have been elite this season. Prince is one of a handful of talented defenders on their roster with the physicality, quickness and positional size to defend multiple positions and body types. Prince also got going in the fourth quarter with a couple buckets off steals and finally started hitting a couple jumpers as well. A naturally talented and athletic wing, Prince is one of the better players at his position that remain uncommitted in Ohio’s 2026 class.

One of the more natural wing athletes in Ohio, Prince combines positional size, fluid athleticism and perimeter shot-making ability. Holding a couple MAC offers on the gridiron, Prince has opted to focus on basketball for his recruitment, and he has some upside on both ends of the court. Akron STVM will always play in marquee events around Ohio and that’ll give Prince plenty of opportunities to impress college coaches this winter. Expect to hear buzz around Prince this winter as one of the top unsigned seniors in northeast Ohio.

The Island qualified for the play in round after a strong Adidas Gold campaign and the Akron/Canton based team played tough against 3SSB competition. I thought Prince was really active on the court with his athleticism and just being around the play a bunch. Prince had a couple transition layups and looked the part physically out there. Finishing with 14 points and 8 rebounds, Prince certainly made his presence felt on Wednesday.

A multi-sport stud, Prince holds a pair of Division I football offers and is also a talented player on the hardwood. The wing can get hot in a hurry from downtown and is athletic enough to finish at the rim and blow by the primary defender from a standstill. Prince had big games at Flyin To The Hoop and over rival Archbishop Hoban this season, the Irish have the pieces to make a deep tournament run after a tough regular season schedule prepared them for the march push.

A prospect who already holds multiple Division I offers on the Gridiron, Prince is also one of the more improved basketball players in northeast Ohio’s 2026 class. Coming out the gates firing, Prince had a one dribble pull-up 3-pointer off a PNR, had a couple transition buckets off steals and rebounds where he took it coast to coast. A wing who can get to his spots and either try and get all the way to the rim or pull-up from the mid-range, Prince is a tough cover for opposing defenses. Prince then used the spin move to hit a tough turnaround jumper and shortly after used the fake spin to get an easy layup. Showing counters to moves you already executed shows an advanced feel for the game and is why Prince is a stock riser this winter.

Considering the athleticism Prince shows on the hardwood, it’s easy to see why he’d be one of the better wide receivers in northeast Ohio. Already holding two MAC offers on the gridiron, Prince is a dangerous threat on the outside. Averaging over 100 all purpose yards per game at the midway point of the season, Prince is becoming a name football and basketball fans are getting familiar with across the 330.
