About Dawson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a 6'1" versatile player. There isn't a position on the court you can put me in that I won't excel at. I have a high motor and great endurance. I've been called upon to play SF/PF at times and done well against taller opponents. I'm a solid shooter from outside the arc and can spot up with the best of them mid range. I enjoy playing Defense and locking down opponents.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I love the game and enjoy competition and challenge against other good players. I'm not loud or arrogant. I'm a put my head down and grind type of player, never taking criticism personally. I understand that we all have to contribute in our own ways to win. I'm a roll player and unselfish player. Whatever it takes to win mentality.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've received academic awards for my GPA. Academic letter

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've tried to challenge myself in this department. Usually I keep to myself and put in work, but going into my junior year in highschool I'm learning that to have a successful team that we need leaders for underclassmen and Im enjoying the process of being a mentor and upper classmate that provides leadership and encouragement to all teammates.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that will give me the opportunity to continue to play the game I love while continuing my education. Somewhere I can receive training in basketball and life.
