Diaz, a guard out of Concord Academy in Massachusetts, checks in at #36 among the combo guards and #207 overall. Diaz had a terrific senior season at Concord, proving to be one of the premier long-range shooters in the region. He has an incredibly quick trigger on his jump start, does a terrific job of moving without the basketball, and even shows shot creation ability with the ball in his hands. He’s the type of shooter that, once he sees the ball go in the hoop once, can really heat up in a hurry. He’s an intense competitor that uses his quickness to create plays on the defensive end of the floor. He remains undecided on a college destination.

Diaz isn’t necessarily a top name to know on a Concord Academy squad that has multiple other stars. But the senior guard had quite the weekend and showcased that he should be on the radar of D3 coaches. The 5-foot-11 shooter does a really good job coming off screens and getting his feet set for perimeter looks, but he also effectively attacks closeouts and can get into the lane for floaters, jumpers, and finishes at the rim when he needs to. I also like the way he passes the ball and plays at his own pace. Diaz raised his stock this weekend.
