Upchurch surprised me with his poise and feel with the basketball. The 6-foot-1 PG always plays with his eyes up and has great passing vision and ball-handling ability. He’s comfortable handling pressure and has a deep bag of finishing tricks at the rim with both hands. He also has really solid positional size for his age, something to keep an eye on if he continues to grow physically. Uprchurch really understands how to play, and I expect him to make some improvements to his shooting stroke as he gets older.

Coming from a basketball family, it’s no surprise that Danye has shown great vision and an advanced understanding of how to create. He’s a highly unselfish passer that uses a quick first step in order to get into the lane and either find the open teammate or score it himself.
