About Daniel
Expert Analysis
Kyle Sandy | Prep Hoops Scout
Hollis is a smooth, athletic wing with ideal size and fluidity. He passes the eye test immediately. His above-the-rim ability produces highlight finishes, but he’s far more than just an athlete. Hollis is a very good three-point shooter who can flip momentum quickly with his perimeter stroke. When he gets into rhythm, he can take over games in a hurry. Beyond scoring, he fills up the stat sheet. He rebounds, facilitates and defends multiple positions. Off the bounce, he’s a capable playmaker who can create for himself or others. His versatility is attractive — he doesn’t have to dominate the ball to be effective. Wings with size, shooting and athleticism who also impact winning in subtle ways tend to rise late in the process.

Hollis is a high level athlete with size who can play both forward positions. While he is best attacking the paint on straight line drives from the perimeter, the senior shows some versatility at the offensive end of the floor with the ability to step out and make an open jump shot. He also provides value at the defensive end of the floor.

Hollis is an intriguing combo forward with size and high level athleticism. He can score at all three levels but is really tough getting downhill and scoring in the paint. We watched him score 20 points in a win over Duluth 10 days ago and the senior seems to be playing his best basketball.

is a name that college coaches should be watching closely. He’s one of the more athletic kids, in the class of 2026, that is a highlight reel waiting to happen. He’s had several jaw dropping moments this spring with Team S.M.A.S.H. He’s long, wiry, very springy, and is threat in the open court. He’s shown the ability to score from deep, knocking down the occasional three pointer. Daniel is a wing that can post up and play with his back to the basket. He’s able to elevate over defenders and be effective 15 feet in. Daniel can defend and seems to enjoy that end of the floor just as much as the offensive end. As he continues to become a better ball-handler and facilitator, expect his stock to continue to rise drastically.
