An efficient three-level shotmaker and arguably one of the most reliable scorers on the EYBL circuit, if not in the entire class. Spear’s scoring instincts, footwork, and counter-move package are high IQ, pro-level demonstrations of confidence and poise. Once he sees a couple fall, it’s over, defenders begin to close out in panic, but he remains calm, either firing off a quick-trigger jumper or using a pump fake to sidestep into a rhythm dribble.
Inside the arc, Spear showcases elite deceleration mechanics, often jump stopping into the lane and flowing into up-and-unders, reverse pivots, or shoulder fakes, freezing defenders before rising into soft floaters or balanced pull-ups.
