Tewodros earned his spot in the rankings with a game that’s as exciting as it is effective. He plays fast and downhill, attacking the rim with a quick first step and finishing in traffic while maintaining excellent body control. His aggressive style makes him a consistent scoring threat and forces defenders to stay on high alert. On the defensive end Tewodros brings the same intensity, taking pride in shutting down opponents and using his quickness and awareness to make plays. That combination of offensive explosiveness and defensive tenacity makes him a true two way contributor, and it’s exactly why he’s made his mark among the ranked players in his class

Tewodros dominated on JV last season and made the most of limited varsity minutes on a loaded squad. He’s a multidimensional prospect with great size who can score, make plays, rebound, and defend. With a bigger role coming, he’ll need to show that full skill set. We’d like to see him stand out more in grassroots and showcases, but we’ve seen enough to move him from the Watch List into the rankings.

Tewodros wastes no time attacking closeouts, eager to attack openings in the halfcourt. He was a consistent drawer of help defense, bringing plenty of gravity on those scoring opportunities in the paint. His quick instincts on the defensive end helped energize his team for fast breaks on the opposite end. 

Tewodros took what the opponents gave him, most dependable while attacking the rim versus incoming defenders. Bringing a fairly quick first step, he kept opponents on their heels, particularly while attacking following a skip pass to the weak side.
