Lowery was another player who quietly boosted his stock at Colorado Tune Up and got on our radar. The flashes we saw there still stick with me. He’s long, active, and impacts the game in ways that don’t always show up first in the box score. He runs the floor, cleans up the glass, and uses his length to bother opponents around the basket. Comparing him to where he was a year ago, when we first saw him, the growth is obvious. Frontier Academy should ask much more of him this season, and with his size, he’ll have an advantage on plenty of nights. Now it’s about embracing that role. He’s trending in the right direction and earns a well-deserved rise in the rankings.

Lowery has the type of frame that immediately catches your attention, and he did that for me as soon as I walked in the gym. His long arms and frame already had me intrigued, but it was his activity that stood out throughout the weekend. He ran the floor every chance he got, played through two feet in traffic, and repeatedly forced the issue at the rim instead of settling. He had some tough finishes. That aggressive approach led to free throws and easy opportunities around the basket, but he was involved. On the other end, his length erased driving lanes and changed shots without needing to block everything. There’s plenty left to develop, but for a 6-foot-7 prospect, the foundation is one worth investing in. He’s firmly on the radar, and we want to see more. 

Cy Lowery Cy Lowery 6'5" | SG Frontier Academy | 2027 NE is a versatile hooper who can play any position on the floor. The 6’5 star can get hot from behind the arc as well as dominate the post. Lowery’s confidence is what sets him apart from the competition, as he’s never afraid to let it fly. On defense, Lowery sends shots to the bleachers and times his blocks well. With great ball-handling skills at his height, Lowery’s potential is through the roof.

A young wing prospect that we all should keep an eye on in the coming varsity years. This junior to be, looks to be a legitimate 6’5″ and with that certainly looks the part of a ball player. He can shoot it a bit, and I continuously saw his teammates look for him to make plays. More so, he was always looking to make plays where he was consistently playing at the rim while trying to grab boards. Liked his hops and gets up off the ground quickly. He probably had the play of the tournament Friday night. Cutting baseline from left to right, handles a tough pass in traffic and under the hoop, gets up quickly for a twisting reverse slam with authority. Call me impressed and wanting more.
