Nicholson is a left-handed shooter that makes it look easy when shooting from downtown. He uses his tight handles to get to any spot on the court with any shot he wants. Nicholson lets the pick-n-roll develop so he can take the open three-pointer. He has great range and can hit the tough stepback shots as well as anyone. His effortless and quick release from behind the arc is why he is such a calm, collected shooter from the three-point line.

Nicholson took a big step this year from last year in his play as he looked very impressive throughout this season. He now has the keys to the offense and didn’t disappoint. Nicholson plays the pick-and-pop well because he’s great at hitting the open man or going for the open shot himself. He can make clean passes in tight windows also. Nicholson is excellent at the give-and-go pass to his teammates or vice versa and is a consistent shooter deep.

Nicholson is a lefty with such a beautiful-looking shot from downtown it almost seems like the perfect release. He never stops running around as he likes to come off of off-ball screens a lot to get open shots from the midrange and three-point area. His finishing ability at the rim is already awe-inspiring as he can score with both hands with little to no problem. Nicholson will strip the ball away if you dare try to take him off the dribble. Also, his quick crossover allows him to get a multitude of looks on the offensive end or set up teammates for open shots.
