Blake Jr is coming off a Highschool season where he helped his team win the state championship, Garnered all district, all state, and All-American honors. Very impressive Accolades for this young hooper, but at the Ragin Cajuns Elite Camp he showed why he is so highly touted. During the morning skills & drills training Blake was attentive, absorbing all the knowledge the coaching staff was passing on. When the transition came to 5vs5, he was ready to ball. Blake knocked down open and/or contested jumpers routinely. He also attacked the bucket with a vengeance, putting the defense on notice. His defense was adequate for such a young player competing in this environment. With that being said, Corey’s performance at the camp got him rewarded with a D-1 Scholarship offer from the Ragin Cajuns.

Blake has held on to the top spot and taken his game to the EYBL. His leadership is clear in any gym, and his all around game travels across state lines. He is a poised guard that embodies the essence of Louisiana Hoops. He is a consistent scoring threat, quick pull up shooter that works on both sides of the ball. He handles the top spot with grace and works like an unranked player. He will be stepping back in the spot light to lead the top team in the state for his sophomore campaign.

Corey Blake Jr. led his team to a 3-1 record in Session 2, but he has taken a clear leadership role with the Livon 15U and is showing that he is more than a scorer. His ability to control the game and set up his teammates is what makes him a next-level talent. Shooting over 40% from three is another eye-catching stat. His motor is the cornerstone of his game, but full on-court pressure on both sides of the ball is the staple. Blake is the clear #1 player in Louisiana because of his multi-faceted game and competitive nature. It was a big-time weekend with modest numbers, but notable wins are what set his path for growth. He plays winning basketball and that will have coaches lining up for Blake Jr.
