Williams will be a new face to the region this year, coming down from Rome Free Academy in Central New York. He’s a raw but improving post presence with the physical tools to attract attention up to the scholarship level as he develops. He shows good fundamentals as a finisher near the basket both out of the post and as a dumpoff threat while flashing nice touch and a workable stroke as a floor-spacer out to the perimeter. His size and length also pose a natural deterrent as a rim protector on the other end of the floor. We’ll be eager to get more of a closer look at Williams’ growth over the next couple years at Mercersburg.
