Clinger came out with defense on his mind and impressed from his age group. He was committed to picking up full court on most possessions, has a high motor, and when he does force a turnover, is poised to make a good decision on offense. His dribble is a bit high at times, which could cause problems down the road, but he used that to his advantage having the ball on a string and baiting defenders into going for a steal and blowing past them. He has that PG mentality you just love, ready on the catch and shoot for a knock down, or he can drive it to the paint and hit you with an array of moves and pump fakes to find daylight.
