Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Panda, a forward out of Beverly High School in Massachusetts, is a floor spacer that seemingly is just scratching the surface of his potential. The 6’7″ forward is still growing into his frame, but catches the eye with impressive length and the ability to make shots from the perimeter. He’s capable of finishing plays around the rim and does a nice job of moving without the ball, particularly as a cutter. Defensively, added strength will help him in the paint, but he knows how to play angles and uses his length to his advantage as a rebounder and in passing lanes. He’ll play on the travel circuit with the Middlesex Magic.

Read EvaluationRobbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
Panda is 6-foot-7 and looks relatively raw/uncoordinated at first glance, but you just need to watch him more. He’s comfortable attacking closeouts and making smart passes to his teammates (his ability to see over the defense helps here), and he can knock down threes with the best of them—his shot is quick and accurate. He’s a finesse finisher in the paint, too, and is only going to get more physical and athletic as time goes on. With a good number of guys leaving Bevery High School next season, Panda should be a key part of what they do. His reps with the Magic this spring/summer and with Beverly next winter should be a massive pivot point for him and his development.
