Brown is a certified bucket getter with impressive physical attributes to match. He can create her own shot from all three levels and is relentless when driving to the basket, draws contact, and gets to the free-throw line quite often. His shooting mechanics are smooth with a quick release. Can dice up a defense and get the shot he wants in iso or zone defensive schemes. His ability to change pace, along with the elite handle and ball control, makes him one of the best guards in the state, and this is just the beginning.

leveraged his length to be a difference maker on the defensive end of the floor, being extremely active on the glass and coming down with rebounds, contesting shot attempts at the rim, alongside his ability to be a switchable defender showcasing he can guard multiple positions. On the offensive side of the ball, Brown founds ways to score within the flow of the offense, attacking closeouts, flashing his outside shooting ability, and finishing out in transition.

St. Mary’s emerged with two tight wins over public Group 4 powers Elizabeth and Montgomery, with Brown impressing particularly in establishing a sizable early lead and holding on late in the second matchup. A transfer from St. Joe’s Metuchen, Brown looks to be making real strides in parlaying his standout length and fluidity into a consistent on-court impact. He impressed on Saturday with great activity on the defensive end, sliding with guards and using his physical tools to make plays in passing lanes and at the rim. Offensively, he was effective getting out in transition for swift finishes while showing flashes of potential as a standstill shooter in the halfcourt. With limited experience and production thus far, Brown has the tools to emerge into a scholarship-level prospect as an upperclassman if he continues to develop.

Brown was one of the most intriguing prospects at The Expo as he flashed the potential to play either spot on the perimeter. The 6’5 wing used his handle to get to his spot on the floor and was able to push the tempo in transition. Brown threw down a couple of dunks during the day and also showed a good release on his jumper. He used his length to make plays on the defensive end and worked hard for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Brown is a lanky wing prospect who should impact the game at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.
