Coming into round two the 6’4 senior will get a chance to play the team that knocked him out of the regional championship just one year ago and he’s coming into the contest averaging 18 points and 13 rebounds per game. He has shown a much improved skill set and has shown some ability to handle the ball and help run the offense for spurts when needed. For the 18 seeded Washington County to pull off the upset expect Phillips to have a massive game.

Washington County made an appearance in regionals last year and Phelps is one of the main returners from that team. He’s another guy who’s coming off of a double digit rebound season where he was a terror on both ends of the floor on the glass. With the departure of majority of their scorers I expect to see some added production to him scoring wise, which gave a glimpse of towards the end of the summer.

is a name to get to know in the Eastern North Carolina region out of Washington County High. He’s made a name for himself this grassroots cycle with NextUp GBBA Select with his skillset at the forward spot. He’s an active forward presence that’s shown he can rebound in bunches on both ends of the floor. He’s especially active as an offensive rebounding presence. As he shows he can mix things up and knock down shots in the half court, look for his name to grow in the region.
