Benavides brought rhythm and composure to the floor on day 2. He was very comfortable getting to the basket and earning trips to the free-throw line. He used shot and pass fakes very well which bought him time to make high-level decisions with the ball. His ability to break his matchup down was on full display, as he shifted and froze defenders with quick twitch moves. As the primary ball handler, he found his teammates perfectly in their scoring positions. His pass-first mentality opened up space for rhythm threes from beyond the arc. He connected on 5 three points against the Minnesota Heat . He quietly led his team in scoring.
