About Chase

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a versatile combo guard who takes a team-first approach to the game. I’m comfortable running the offense as a floor general or stepping in as a scoring option, switching between the 1 and 2 depending on what my team needs. I work to be a reliable shooter with deep range and can score at all three levels, whether off the catch or the dribble. I study the game to develop an elite feel for it.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a humble hooper who loves the game in every way—as a player, teammate, or fan. I’m equally passionate about competing and about learning and helping others succeed. I’m willing to take on any role for the team to win and stay even-keeled under pressure, always coaching and cheering from the bench when I’m not on the floor. I believe hard work pays off and take pride in my strong work ethic.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play on the Puma Circuit for my AAU team, the Louisiana Titans, and have been part of that academy since I was 6 years old. I’m also actively involved in the Black Student Union at my high school and participate in various community events through the group. I’m involved with my school’s National Honor Society and volunteer with local community service projects. I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by playing both point guard and shooting guard and learning to adapt to what my team needs. I value communication and supporting my teammates on and off the court. I’ve also built a strong work ethic balancing athletics with academics and community service, which has taught me discipline, time management, and how to stay focused under pressure.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I’ve dealt with a few injuries that taught me resilience and patience during recovery. I’ve learned to adapt to different roles—being a starter and leader on JV and then a role player on varsity—while working hard consistently toward my goal to start on varsity. I also balance a rigorous academic load with all honors classes. These experiences teach me perseverance and how to embrace any role.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’d like a college that helps me grow in every part of the game—skill development, health, recovery, and mindset—while also supporting my academic success. I’m looking for a program with a real team mindset, where everyone’s committed to a shared goal. It’s really important to me to earn a major role, take my game to the next level, and keep building my understanding of the game.
