One of the most productive bigs in northeast Ohio over the past few years, Garito goes down in the record books at Brecksville for his rebounding and scoring numbers. Garito has proven himself to be able to score around the rim and is a relentless rebounder as well. Another big bodied center who won’t back down from older guys at the next level, Garito is another available big who should be getting more college interest.

The all-time leading rebounder in Brecksville history, Garito is a great paint presence with his size and motor. One of the more filled out post players in the state, Garito has the physicality to play right away at the college level. Garito mostly scores in the paint and a diver from dribble drive plays through the Bees guards and finishes at the basket, he’s also got over 1,000 career points for Brecksville. I believe Garito is one of the best available bigs in Ohio and scholarship programs should take a look.

Garito is another prospect looking to get some more scholarship interest as he continues to play through his senior season. One of the bigger players in the state, there’s few big men who can match up with Garito size wise. Dominating on the glass early, Garito does a great job of finishing possessions on the defensive end and also giving his team more possessions on the offensive end. The biggest improvement for Garito will be finishing around the basket. Currently he’s not very explosive off the ground and gets shots contested at the rim. If Garito can improve his explosiveness he will be a much more capable finisher at the rim. Division III programs don’t usually wind up with big men who look like Garito, I’d be surprised if a scholarship program doesn’t offer him before it’s all said and done.

Garito is a prospect who’s been seen as a scholarship target for a while and finally got an offer in July from Division II powerhouse Hillsdale. Garito is capable of playing both the power forward and center position with his size and mobility with his feet. If Garito can become more consistent finishing around the basket he will score a lot of points this season for a Brecksville squad expecting to compete for a district title.
