19p 2s vs Indiana Elite
-I like Morrison’s ability to impact the game as a slashing guard that can score in the paint on pull-ups or floaters or off the ball as a movement shooter that doesn’t need a ton of space to get off his shot. Morrison hit five 3s against Indiana Elite by moving to find open pockets within the defense, hitting shots from either corner off of designed crack-backs or by simply lifting to the wings opposite a baseline driver to find open pockets in the defense. Morrison has a good feel for the pace that he needs to play with in the short roll and will make the simple play to teammates to avoid turnovers in traffic. One of the best and most unheralded prospects in DC Public School basketball, should shine in a bigger role with Tech Prep this summer and upcoming season.

Cayden has embraced his role this season and has become one of those players that consistently makes winning plays without needing a ton of touches. He scores when the opportunity presents itself, doesn’t press for shots, and understands how to let the game come to him. He’s also brought value on the defensive end, competing and rebounding, while doing the little things that help his team stay solid. Cayden is a confident shooter who will knock down open looks when defenses are late, and his offensive game continues to grow as he improves his slashing ability. Through the midseason point, Morrison has shown he can impact the game in multiple ways, and that steady growth is what makes him a name to track moving forward.

Friendship Tech met a familiar foe in Riverdale Baptist for bracket bragging rights and although Tech fell in double overtime, the outing that Morrison had is tough to forget. For starters, he hit the game-winning three to send the game into its first overtime, but throughout he did a nice job of attacking his man off the bounce and using counters on his way to the rim. He’s shown this season alone that he’s no stranger to coming through in the crunch time of games by hitting difficult shots. Consistency will remain the key for Morrison to continue to climb, but despite some ups and downs, he’s been the secondary scoring punch alongside

Cayden is another athletic wing with good size and potential to further progress his game. He impressed over the summer as a 2-way wing that showed some flashes of big-play ability. His confidence is an attribute a lot of times, often proving he can go toe-to-toe with respectable competitors. Cayden gets active on the defensive end, taking pride in locking down whatever is in front of him. He can elevate for blocks, time steals in the passing lanes and rebound the ball all in the same. Intangible player that will leave his impact on the floor even without the points.
