Love has a sound overall feel with the rock in his hands to be a 1 or 2 man. He looked comfortable throughout the day creating and navigating through traffic off of dribble drive action. At times he can be shifty and will change direction in order to hit tight gaps hard. His strong lower body provides an added balance and control when playing through contact. He was composed and poised throughout the day with a keen demeanor playing as a lead or off guard. Defensively Love competes at the point of attack staying engaged and using his strength and lateral movement to challenge against his opponent.

Love screams team leader. He plays with an impressive combination of physical strength and mental composure, often drawing multiple defenders and patiently finding the open teammate rather than forcing a shot. The game seems to slow down in his hands and his reliability around the rim steadies the offense. More consistency from his perimeter shooting would only add to an already mature offensive game.

Love is a strong, physical guard who imposed his will against smaller defenders routinely on Saturday afternoon. He’s able to bully his way to the rim against smaller defenders, and has the quick burst first step to blow by slower-footed defenders. He’s an explosive athlete who finishes above the rim with authority, a good on-ball defender who moves his feet well, and he’s strong in the mid-range. As he continues to develop his jumper, he could be a sleeper prospect to watch in Illinois’ 2027 class.

Love is a name to remember as the 6’2” 2027 guard is an explosive slasher from the lead guard spot.  Liked the quickness and acceleration that he brought to the table.

Caught him in the last game of the day. Strong and well built frame at the guard spot for the next level. Can play at the 1 or 2 locations depending what you need. With a quick first step can create space or jet by the defender. Had a couple tough takes to the rim in traffic with strong finishing ability. Likes to get out and run the floor to speed up the game. Uses athleticism to his advantage and has really solid bounce at the cup.
