How do you think your team and yourself performed throughout this season? rn-I thought our team did really good to be honest , it really started in the offseason how much work we put in but in the season we started off strong playing pretty good lost to couple good teams but we wanted to play the best so when it comes to post season than we’re ready…we didn’t end up the way we wanted but I really loved this team man one of my fav defiantly!!
What was the biggest obstacle you and your team faced this season?rn-Our biggest obstacle playing in this season was probably our bench… as in if some players got in foul trouble then we don’t have as many guys as we did last year to step in a play the role AS good.
What do you think you improved most on the court?rn-I think the thing that I improved the most on the court was being a leader and making my teammates better in practice, game , and even off the court.
What are you looking to improve before next season?rn-I’m looking on to improve for the next level is definitely my dodgy I need to get stronger faster and even smarter because I’m going to play against grown men who are all strong fast and smart.
Who are some teammates that you think stood out this season? Who are some teammates who could have breakout years next year in your eyes?rn-The people that stood out this season was tra, and Landon and also Ayeble those people are the real definition of heart over talent ..now the people that I see coming back that are going to do good are Lonnie , Payton , tra , Landon , and Ayeble and there going to make a big impact and I’ll be there watching some games. Go Jacks!

He is fun to watch. He broke the schools all time scoring record this year after having himself a monster season. He can do so many things well. He can score from anywhere and is an elite shooter. He takes what the defense gives him and can pick you apart. He is averaging 34 points a game. That is a lot of quickness and some great ball handling skills that he throws on top of unlimited range. Decisive, quick, and crafty.

It will take RA Long having a nice run to get deep into the state tournament, but Holden is a player who could carry his team. Cavin has scored 50 in a game this season and can easily get 30 every single night. He shoots effectively from mid-range and three point range but can also keep the ball controlled well and get to the rim. He finishes athletically around the rim and is able to go through bigger defenders.

Cavin has already proven that he can carry this RA Long team. He did so last year when guiding the team to state and he’s currently doing so again by leading the Lumberjacks to one of the top teams. He scored a school high 54 points earlier this year and I don’t doubt he could get another 40/50 piece. He attacks the ball nicely, being able to blow by defenders with his quick first step. He also drains the three ball with no problem at all, at an effective rate.

Previous Rank: 50rnHolden went nuclear in the month of December, posting games of 46, 54, and now 50 points. He’s shown that if you play up tight, he can drive right around you but if you lag off, he’ll drill the three in your face. It begs the question; how do you guard him? He doesn’t pop out right away as a guy that physically will handle that kind of scoring load night after night, but he does just that, at one point scoring 100 total points across back-to-back nights. He is an underrated athlete, and it shows not just with his quick first step but also on the defensive end where he challenges opponents to beat him one-on-one. It will be fun to see where he goes from here as he seems determined to take the Lumberjacks as high as they can go before his high school career is over.

Now this senior is very familiar with high scoring games on the regular. His usage rate is extremely high for RA Long but it leads too great things. Holden scores at all 3 levels effectively and is so crafty with the ball. He’s an exciting player to watch. Against Ridgefield this season, he scored a school record 54 points. I’m sure he will have another 40 point performance this season, maybe even another 50 piece.

He was my pick to win the class 2A scoring title. At least he was one of them. After showing off his scoring skills as a junior and topping 40 points he went a decade higher with 54 in a game earlier this season vs Ridgefield. It all starts with his effortless range and beautiful looking shot that he will take from well beyond the three point line. I used the Stephen Curry comparison once before because he changes games with his shooting which opens the door for a lot of other things to happen. All good things as he is proficient in the mid-range game as well. He is excellent at reading and setting up the defense for himself or his teammates. He can make a lot happen with a head fake and one or two dribbles, if he doesn’t decide to take it all the way to the hoop. He has one of the most effortless shots in all of Washington high school basketball.

He opened his senior season with a 37-point effort vs Hockinson in an 81-34 victory. He is my favorite to win the class 2A scoring title. Heis off to the start I would expect. He drilled 7 threes in the game. His sweet shooting stroke is one of the reasons why he will get points in a hurry. He is well-rounded and will score off the dribble, getting by the defense. He is one of the best at reading the defense and reacting accordingly. He is a playmaking guard who can score on anyone from anywhere. We should get used to numbers like this, he will be one of the top-scoring guards in 2A with his skill set. It all starts with his ability to hit shots from well beyond the three-point line. He is somewhat of a Stephen Curry-like guard if you will.
