Carter Savoy out of Atascocita, Texas was one of the players that caught my eye early on based off his size and skill set. Long and lanky Wing that simply played harder than everyone else at camp and made big time plays on both ends of the floor because of it. He did it all on the floor. Really good rebounder on both ends of the floor. Was able to rip and run off the defensive end was really good in transition both as a scorer and a playmaker. Offensively he was comfortable with the ball in his hands breaking down his defender. Good looking jumper that should make him a capable shooter, but didn’t hit any perimeter shots in front of me.

Carter Savoy Carter Savoy 6'4" | CG/SF Atascocita | 2027 State TX is a player who competes hard on both ends of the floor and makes winning plays. His defense is one of the best attributes of his game as he provides versatility guarding opposing ballhandlers and his quickness/speed on fastbreaks are a valuable asset when causing turnovers for opponents. He can shoot jumpers from range, and he drives to the rim and is able to draw contact and get himself to the line at a high rate. One of my guards I have been watching closely for a while for the 2027 class, Carter should be getting recruited at the collegiate level before long due to his skillset and competitive nature.  

Carter Savoy Carter Savoy 6'4" | CG/SF Atascocita | 2027 State TX makes winning plays on defense and his pressure on perimeter ballhandlers allows Atascocita to capitalize in transition. Savoy is an athletic guard who can score at the basket, run lanes correctly on fastbreaks, and scores from all three levels. Carter fulfills whatever role is needed for the Eagles and he proved that he can make an impact wherever he signs at the collegiate level. I love Carter’s versatility and he showcases it all in facts whenever he is on the court.

Carter is one of those two-way guards that every coach wants to have on their team who makes winning plays no matter if he has the ball or not. He can score from all three levels and always gives 110% effort on hustle and defense, never taking a possession off. Savoy is a hustle player who is capable of getting a defensive stop on one end and taking it coast to coast and scoring on the other side of the ball.
