The size and activity of Carter Bears Carter Bears 6'6" | PF St. Joseph's Catholic | 2026 State SC was a handful for Travelers Rest throughout St. Joseph’s 46-33 win on Tuesday. He posted a dominant 18-point, 13-rebound double-double in the contest, proving to be a threat after every missed shot on the offensive end while preventing second chances on the defensive end. Most of Carter’s points came from the offensive glass, but he did take up good positions in the dunker spot, use his size to be an effective screener, and run the floor for easy looks in transition.

Carter started the Spring with Pasadena Stars before moving to Next Level Elite after the Scholastic Period and was a standout in multiple early-season events. He has good size, a strong frame, and a high motor that runs on both ends of the floor. Bears can finish with either hand close to the rim in a few different scenarios including on the offensive glass, as a screener in the pick-and-roll, from the dunker spot, and with his back to the basket. Carter does more than just finish around the basket: he has very good instincts as a rebounder, as a rim protector, and with passes out of the post.

Bears has been very solid for Pasadena Stars so far this Spring and had another good weekend in Spartanburg. He stepped up his game on the offensive end and was a big reason why his team advanced to the 16U Blue Semifinal. Carter had 10 Points and 7 Rebounds in a Second-Round Matchup with Team Truzzy. He was a handful in the paint of the offensive hand, scoring over his left should at will. Carter has a good foundation and was also effective in the pick-and-roll offense.

Carter Bears Carter Bears 6'6" | PF St. Joseph's Catholic | 2026 State SC of the Pasadena Stars 16U Group headlines our list of Top Big Men from Saturday at the Phenom Queen City Showcase. Carter is not the most athletic big, but he has great positioning and moves the floor well. He also does a good job of “walling up” near the basket on the defensive end. On offense, the Stars use him as a screener often – a role he plays well. Carter works hard on both ends of the floor and had a couple of solid performances throughout the weekend.
