The highest ranked prospect to use the post grad route, Adkins had a huge game at Flyin To The Hoop for Western Reserve Academy that helped get him on our radar. Adkins is now doing a post grad year at PHHoneix Prep. With this reclassification to the 2024 class, Adkins has attracted a trio of Division I offers with Ut Arlington being his latest. It seems like Adkins flew a bit under the radar as a senior and getting more attention this summer and fall than he received prior to this post grad season.

A smooth shooter with size, Adkins put on a show at Flyin To The Hoop with an efficient performance against a loaded So Cal Academy squad. I was a fan of Adkins ability to play alongside other Division I recruits and make an impact in a specified role that’s similar to the one he’ll be playing at the next level. I was also impressed with how Adkins got others involved as a secondary creator. I think low major and high-level Division II and NAIA programs should be looking at Adkins as a spring addition to their 2023 recruiting class.

Adkins had a huge game at Flyin To The Hoop which really showed what he’s capable of. Scoring over 20 points on nationally ranked So Cal Academy on excellent efficiency was eye opening for myself. Adkins also had a game winner against ISA in a battle of two of the top prep programs in northeast Ohio. Currently holding zero offers, it’ll be interesting to see who tries to scoop Adkins up in the next few months. Adkins should be on low major and Division II recruiting boards not only in the Midwest but also closer to his home state, which is Texas.
