One prospect in the top 50, Cole Rhett, opted to play football at the college level at Toledo. This leaves four uncommitted prospects at post grad programs, looking to find the right college fit after this fifth year of prep basketball. In this article, we’ll break down where college coaches can watch these prospects and where they now stand heading into the post grad season.
The highest ranked prospect to use the post grad route, Adkins had a huge game at Flyin To The Hoop for Western Reserve Academy that helped get him on our radar. Adkins is now doing a post grad year at PHHoneix Prep. With this reclassification to the 2024 class, Adkins has attracted a trio of Division I offers with Ut Arlington being his latest. It seems like Adkins flew a bit under the radar as a senior and getting more attention this summer and fall than he received prior to this post grad season.
O’Connor had the opposite move as Adkins, as O’Connor is now at Western Reserve Academy. After helping Centerville make the final four as a senior, O’Connor is a tough defender who fits next to other top talent. Both Wenger brothers opted to take post grad years with Braylon’s older brother Jalen Wenger doing a post grad year until attending Florida Southwestern. Braylon won’t be far from his brother as he’s attending IMG Academy for his post grad year. I would expect Wenger to get a lot of scholarship interest from a variety of levels with a strong post grad season.
Highlights
Burnett spent his senior year at Spire with a loaded roster that featured numerous Division I commits in the 2023 class. Burnett went a little under the radar and has decided to take a post grad year at Sunrise Christian Academy. Burnett is a big time shooter who is being looked at by high academic programs.
