Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
A Prep Hoops Circuit standout in the summer, Tyree lands on this list after having a solid senior season with Clayton Northmont. Shooting the cover off the basketball, Tyree is at 56% from 3-point range this season. You won’t find many better shooters with their feet set than Tyree and that shooting ability lands him in our rankings.

Tyree played on the Prep Hoops Circuit and I caught him a couple of times in the spring. What Tyree does best is knock down the 3-point shot off the catch and he did that often on Saturday. Some other areas where Tyree impacted the game included going straight up on a blocked shot at the rim, leaking out in transition for layups and getting a couple offensive rebounds. Look for Tyree to be a crucial piece on a Northmont squad that could rise in the GWOC this winter.

each made key shots to push their team to a Friday night win. I was most impressed with Tyree who started the game on fire with three quick 3’s. He continued his efficient scoring by using the pump fake to get defenders in the air before driving for easy scoop layups at the rim. Showing good touch not just on 3-pointers but also floaters and lefty layups, Tyree was scoring the ball in a variety of ways. Tyree had five games of eight points or more with Northmont as a Junior, I could see him averaging close to that number this season if he plays with the confidence he showed on Friday night.
