Another one of the quickest guards in the state, Hatcher has elite burst and game-changing speed. With the ability to shift gears and change direction in a flash, Hatcher is one of the toughest covers when the ball is in his hands. After blowing up on the scene as a freshman with Dayton Dunbar, Hatcher is coming off a solid season with Northmont where he finished 8th in the GWOC in scoring. I could see Hatcher breaking into the top five this season and putting Northmont in contention for a conference title. Hatcher has one of the more open recruitments as far as we know at the moment.

Hatcher is a new home this year and seems to be having a new role. He has seemed to be in a more score-first and aggressive mentality at Northmont. Which seems to be needed for their team. Hatcher is still just athletic and can simply do things other guards can’t. He seems to be getting bigger and stronger. His durable pull-up in the midrange was on full display. He gets a very high elevation on his jumper. Hatcher is bound to have a big season in a new home.

After a couple strong years in the Dayton City League, Hatcher is on the move to the GWOC as he’ll be playing with Northmont next season. An athletic guard who can really break defenses down off the bounce and create for himself, Hatcher has a gear that he can turn to that few players can match. Still developing a consistent 3-point shot after shooting 31% on 16 makes last season, a step in this skill could open up his offensive game. Hatcher has the potential to make plays for his teammates after leading the Dayton City League in assists at 3.9 per game last season.

Hatcher is a very promising player. Seems to have gained some muscle and height in his body. He is already athletic so gaining those only helped. He is a very skilled guard. Makes some moves that get the crowd going. He has a very good jumper. Knocks down threes but does most of his damage attacking the basket. He just simply makes very tough shots consistently.

Dunbar had a rough first half but they came out of the locker room a different team and Hatcher’s game was tough to stop in the second half. Hatcher was knocking down 3-pointers off the catch after steals and made some impressive takes to the bucket. Hatcher has good burst and gets low to the ground when he turns the corner. Hatcher also had some acrobatic finishes around the rim that got the crowd buzzing.
