About Cameron

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is high-energy and team-oriented on both ends of the court. I take pride in making an impact defensively with blocks and rebounds while also contributing offensively with assists and points. I'm focused on doing whatever it takes to help my team succeed and put us in the best position to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m all about bringing energy and giving 100% in everything I do, whether it’s on or off the court. I love competing and helping my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Every year, I participate in an event with my mom that supports a homeless shelter and helps people who are less fortunate or going through tough times.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Volunteering at the homeless shelter has taught me a lot about understanding people’s struggles—some they can control and some they can’t. As a junior and captain of my basketball team, I’m also learning how to lead and support my teammates. Additionally, I’ve developed patience and responsibility by helping my younger brother and sister with various things.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yeah, I’ve had challenges balancing school, sports, and life. With ADHD and dyslexia, I’ve had to find ways to stay focused and manage tasks. It’s tough juggling everything, but it’s taught me time management and how to stay focused on what matters. I’m proud of how I’ve handled it.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a coach who is dedicated to helping me grow my game, cares about my development, and supports me in succeeding both on and off the court. It’s also really important to me that the school offers academic support to help me stay on track with my studies while balancing everything.

Cameron showed a side to his game that I hadn’t previously seen before. From watching him with Minnesota Fury last spring/summer, I knew he was a physical low-post presence who could protect the rim and control the glass for his team. Against East Ridge he still did that, but showed shooting touch out on the perimeter that I didn’t know he had. Cameron knocked down three triples, proving to be a pick & pop threat out on the perimeter. At 6’9 he was able to quickly get his feet set off the move to catch and shoot before his defender could recover. He finished with 21 points on the night.
