Dunlay is a typical PV guard, tough, athletic, and disciplined on both ends of the floor. He’s a good on-ball defender who moves his feet well and uses his quick hands to make life uncomfortable for opposing ball handlers. On the offensive end, he loves to attack the rim off the dribble and score through contact.

A player I wish I was able to watch a bit more, Caden Dunlay Caden Dunlay 5'11" | PG/SG Pleasant Valley | 2029 State IA shared the court with three other would-be primary ball-handlers in Cofield, Mykel Peak Mykel Peak 5'10" | SG/PG Davenport Central | 2029 State IA and Sean Sinnott Sean Sinnott 6'1" | SG/CG Southeast Polk | 2029 State IA at the event in Des Moines, so he didn’t possess the rock as much as he likely will when he plays for Pleasant Valley.

When he did get his hands on the ball, though, Dunlay showed off a tight handle that allowed him to maneuver through traffic, collect a high gather of the ball and finish at the rim. If he shows those flashes in a more consistent manor, he could be one of the better guards in his class.

Possibly one of the more underrated players at The Showcase, Caden Dunlay Caden Dunlay 5'11" | PG/SG Pleasant Valley | 2029 State IA of Pleasant Valley showed off his tight handle and ability to score at the rim. Getting some steam and going downhill, Dunlay showed a high gather and soft finish when getting to the basket and kept the ball moving on the perimeter for Team 5.
