The 2029 Marengo PG has steadily trended in the right direction over the Spring and Summer ball months. Following a freshman season in which he earned valuable varsity minutes, he also played a key role in Woodstock Elite’s successful 2026 circuit campaign. Beziks’ fundamentally sound handle allows him to consistently get downhill, create paint touches, and keep the offense flowing while playing under control. He attacks through contact with confidence and complements his scoring ability with quality playmaking instincts while routinely making the right reads for teammates. Beziks’ court vision translates in both the transition and half-court settings while his toughness, poise, and decision-making continue to separate him from many of his peers. As he enters his sophomore season, Bezik remains one of the steadiest and most well-rounded guards in the c/o 2029 with a game that continues to trend upward.

I caught Bezik play last week in our Tune Up event and he helped his team to a 4-0 mark on the weekend spread. During his team’s Sunday morning contest, he showed similar tendencies who was one of the main factors that impacted the game. He did this all while playing up an age level in the 16U division which he usually does. Even though his shot wasn’t falling as much, he still got downhill and attacked with a strong handle while playing through contact. Bezik displayed a variety of passes including post feeds, pitch a heads in transition, and drive and kick read assists to easier scoring opportunities for teammates. His blend of playing making while remaining tough on both sides of the floor makes him a steady all around contributor heading into Sophomore year.

Caught Bezik a couple of times last AAU season but this was my first time seeing him live since then. Over his scholastic season he provided valuable minutes as a true freshman on varsity. He has also helped lead his team to a successful travel season campaign during circuit play thus far in 2026. His handle ability is fundamentally solid which helps drive positive offensive flow for himself and others around. In the evening game on Thursday, he showed his slashing skills to the cup while also getting others involved off dribble drive action. He plays with a solid big and they work off of each other well throughout. He was also playing up an age level as a 2029 in the 2028 division through the weekend and helped lead the Woodstock Elite team to a 4-0 mark.

This was my second time getting to see him play through the Spring season. He may be a bit undersized because he plays up an age but he knows how to put the ball in the basket. Has quick hands and came away with a steal in the backcourt to convert on an easy bucket. Moves feet well guarding on the ball. Works well in the transition phase and has good court vision. Sees openings for multiple pitch ahead passes to beat the defense down the floor. Shoots it at a high clip whether dribbling into his 3 or spotting up off the catch. Can tell he loves to play the game.

Played on the 14U team in the 15U division. Helped team go 3-1 on the weekend. Saw him compete in a couple games and has good feel with rhythm. Handles it with toughness against pressure in the break and on drives to the rim. Finds the open man when available but also can pull the trigger against tough D. Knocked down some tough ones on catch and shoot 3’s or coming off a screen while dribbling into the shot. Competes with grittiness.
