finished his Titan career as one of the most decorated Titan’s in the history of the program. He has multiple all-region honors, he joined the 1000 Point Club this season, and now he’s a state champion. Byrd’s ability to attack the basket, hit shots from beyond the arc, and create his own shot is one of the reasons he led his team in scoring with 20 points, in the title game. He has been the consummate leader, and when the Titan’s need a play to be made, Byrd was one of those guys they could count on to make the right play.

did it again, the habitual producer shining on the big stage with a team-high 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Byrd was masterful, shooting 4-8 from distance. Such a tough-nosed driver, Carter opened up the floor with his improved three-point shooting range. Byrd has been one of the best players in the state that hasn’t gotten enough credit. It’s time for college programs to make their move, he has nothing left to prove.

Dynamic guard does a little bit of everything. Great at getting to the basket but can also shoot the three. Really good defender that blocks a lot of shots from behind.

The 6-2 shooting guard plays bigger than his size indicates. He is strong and can finish efficiently around the rim with either hand and is a pure shooter from beyond the perimeter. Carter received his first offer from Covenant College earlier in the week.

Byrd gets better and better each time I see him. He’s really emerged as a go-to player for North Oconee. He does a lot of things well, using his high IQ to impact games on both ends of the floor. Carter has good footwork when attacking the hoop. He scored on five drives, freeing himself with spin moves and finishing with floaters and kisses off the glass. His defensive prowess stood out, being a pest as he would swipe steals and deflect shots. Carter totaled 19 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
