Schimpa was tremendous in Edwardsburg’s win against Plainwell. He scored 31 of his team’s 62 points in the contest. Schimpa was only 1 rebound short of a double-double in the game as well. He showed off a quick, consistent and controlled release on his jumper. Schimpa looked very comfortable shooting over the top of defenders and really utilized any height mismatch. I was very impressed with his ability to finish at the rim in this game. Schimpa drove to the rim with authority, used cuts and angles well and finished through contact.

I recently put Schimpa in an article giving some examples of player we want to see at he Top 250 this fall. Well, as I said in that article, the young man can fill it up. Schimpa can be a gamechanger with the 3 ball.

Schimpa could have a breakout event per say. He’s developed and refined a pretty lethal jumper that can he can pull up and hit consistently. When Schimpa grooves his 3 ball, it’s a game changer. If he gets hot at the Top 250, it could take him a long way.
