About Brody

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am able to process the game quickly and make good decisions on the court whether it is getting to the basket or getting my teammates the ball at the right time. I play fast in transition and hard nose defense and do the little things that come naturally to me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I pride myself on having a high basketball IQ and staying composed under pressure. When breaking the press, I keep my head up to find teammates and limit turnovers. I trust my instincts and court awareness to know when to pass, drive, or shoot, always focusing on making the right play to help my team succeed.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a two-year captain, I’ve developed strong leadership skills by setting the tone for my teammates through hard work, communication, and leading by example. I’ve learned the importance of teamwork, trusting one another, and keeping the group focused on our shared goals. Being in this role has also pushed me to grow off the court by coaching/reffing younger players in our basketball association.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During my junior year, I tore my quad and missed seven games — my first major setback. While sidelined, I grew as a leader by supporting teammates and encouraging their growth. When I returned, our team was stronger because others had stepped up with new confidence.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically. I have a strong interest in math and science fields and am open to a variety of school sizes and locations as I explore the best fit for my future.
