“Started all 23 games. Has started 50 games in his career. Great defender. Poised, great leader from the PG position. Led the Lynx football team as starting QB to a State Championship. Can knock down open shots when needed. Leads us in charges taken. Will need to be more offensively minded for us. Likely a future college FB player.“

I think I may be underrating Briggs too much based off of his 5’9” size. Because on the court, he’s been leading an Impact Basketball 17U-1 team that is really shocking everyone by their team play and they have taken down some good teams from good programs. Their early success is honestly one of the more surprising developments of the early AAU season. Briggs is a big reason for the team’s success and he’s also coming off of a state AA championship as the starting point guard. All Briggs does is win and I think that needs to be given more consideration. So I may do a 180 and move him up the board based off of his on-court play rather than size.

Briggs was the X-factor in the championship game, scoring 17 points and 5 made threes. If he doesn’t shoot the three at such a high level, it could have been a different outcome.

Knutson is a starting ball-handler that interchanges with Dulaney on bringing the ball up. He moves and runs very well and got out and ran the floor and earned himself some three-point opportunities that he took advantage of. He was able to consistently find open threes. Briggs defends the ball hard, with really quick explosive feet, sitting in a balanced defensive stance. Ended up with 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

Knutson handles the point guard spot and brings quickness and energy on both ends. He’s always moving and attacking loose balls. Comes up with a majority of the 50/50 balls for his team. A valuable asset.
