Shine passes the eye test when it comes to being an interesting prospect. He’s become more athletic and moves like a wing, or at least a hybrid forward. He combined his physical gifts with a great motor on both ends of the court at the expo. Ran the floor hard, swatted shots and grabbed boards. His shooting form is a bit unorthodox, but he had hits in the mid-range and from three.
Very intrigued to see him this winter for a Classen SAS team that sneakily has some of the top talented in the west side for 5A. If he carves out an impactful role with the Comets, he could be a game changer this winter. And is the type of still growing into his potential prospect who would be a diamond in the rough for Oklahoma JuCos.

There’s some early traits that indicate that Shine could be a “where did he come from prospect?” in a year or two. Right now he’s a tweener, and still has the gangly movements of youth. But the physical profile indicate he’s still growing and could up being a player who’s making plays above the rim in six months to a year. Along with the athletic profile, the lefty did look comfortable hitting a 20 footer in one contest. Although the release will need to be sped up.
