A confident shot-maker through and through. Whenever he got to the right wing, he created his own shot off the dribble, sizing up his man with wide, choppy steps before firing over the contest. His fearless approach to scoring earned him multiple free-throw opportunities as he initiated contact on drives or knocked down heavily contested jumpers with zero landing space. Stephens scored through traffic with a level of body control and focus that never wavered, proving he can get a bucket under pressure from all angles.

An intriguing prospect who plays with maturity and purpose on both ends. Stephens is a wiry 6’4” guard with good strength and fluid athleticism, capable of operating at either backcourt spot. Offensively, he’s balanced—comfortable initiating offense, playing off the catch, or attacking downhill in transition. His feel and pace allow him to impact games without forcing the issue. Defensively, he’s scrappy and disruptive, using length to contest shots and jump passing lanes. With his physical tools, poise, and approach, Stephens has the foundation of a high-level guard with significant long-term upside.

was one of the most dynamic players I was able to watch this summer, and he definitely made his way onto my radar. He was big time on attacking the rim and getting himself to the foul stripe, cashing in at the free throw line. Brandon knew how to lock up on the perimeter and help on rebounds in the paint. Stephens attends Frisco Liberty HS and will definitely be a great energy source for the team.

Brandon is a versatile shooting guard with a well-rounded skill set and clear athletic upside. He moves cleanly off the ball, hits open threes, and attacks closeouts with sharp footwork and control. What’s made coaches take notice is his growth as a playmaker—reading the floor better and making smart decisions in live action. Defensively, he plays with energy and discipline, using his length to contest and rotate effectively. Coaches keep calling because he checks every box—scoring, facilitating, defending—and still has room to grow.

Brandon was the main catalyst for his Prepstarz 17u team in their opening 7:00 win on Friday over Courtside United. Stephens had a big game attacking the rim and drew several and-one opportunities, cashing in repeatedly at the free throw line. Brandon knew how to lock up on defense on the perimeter and inside the paint. The bottom line is that Brandon knows how to make an impact in more ways than just the scoring column. Building off this momentum, he will only continue to raise his stock and improve.

Jr. is a guard prospect with size I really liked. Watching him operate, he was best in the half court setting. Nothing to fancy just pure basketball coming off the dribble being able to finish at the rim over smaller guards. He also created some mismatches defensively at 6’4 he can guard multiple positions which is a huge plus. Brandon is a big guard with a high upside and someone to have on your radar as he’ll only be sophomore this season.
