Perkins has continued to evolve as a player and enters his senior season as a key piece of the Gibbs offense. He has become a more effective downhill attacker in both transition and the half court, consistently finding ways to get to the rim and finish over bigger defenders. Perkins has been a knockdown shooter throughout his career, with his off-ball creation continuing to improve. As the lead guard, his ability to facilitate and get his teammates involved will be essential to Gibbs’ success. He’s also made strides defensively this offseason, becoming more active and physically stronger.

Perkins brought nonstop energy on both ends of the floor. His active hands and full court pressure made him a pest defensively, while his passion allows him to play bigger than his size. Perkins thrives in transition, using his speed to beat defenders to the rim for easy finishes. He was also clutch when it mattered most, hitting three free throws to send the game to overtime before knocking down the game winning free throw in sudden death. The senior showed the poise he’s built over the past three seasons.

Perkins enters his senior season with the confidence as a dangerous scorer. He has not fear to let shots fly and has consistently backed that confidence up with efficient perimeter shooting as a small guard. Defenders struggle to contest his quick release, and he does an excellent job creating contact when attacking closeouts, leading to valuable trips to the free-throw line. His ability to score in bunches makes him a constant offensive threat, and another productive offseason suggests he could be in for his best season yet.

Now entering his senior season, Perkins has continued to lead the way for Gibbs. He has been doing what he does best, shooting the ball at a high volume and high efficiency. Perkins is fearless and has confidence shooting over any defender. He has also done a great job drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line for easy points. As one of the top guards in Pinellas County, he should be in for another strong season.
