About Branden

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a lot of energy, look to set up my teammates, and work hard on defense. I focus on making the right play and improving every game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m coachable, work hard, and stay positive. I try to learn from mistakes and get better every day.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. I train in MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where I have earned awards. I also volunteer regularly at a local animal shelter.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed teamwork, discipline, and perseverance through basketball and MMA. Training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has helped me stay focused and respectful, and volunteering at an animal shelter has taught me responsibility and compassion.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. I have faced personal loss in my life. My father passed away before I was born while serving as a soldier, and I later lost my older sister during COVID. These experiences have helped me grow stronger, stay focused, and appreciate the support of my family and community.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can play basketball because it’s my passion and my escape. When I’m on the court, I feel focused, alive, and driven. I also want a school with a strong academic program so I can work toward becoming a detective and making a difference in people’s lives.
