Expert Analysis
Michael Schneiderman | Prep Hoops Scout
An established guard that brings fluidity and a well rounded presence to both sides of the floor. Esterkamp is a proven shot maker from three that shows spacing ability to connect off the catch with confidence. Uses good footwork with step backs, pump fakes, and jabs to change speeds and then gets an angle on the closeout. Had one of the top if not the top feels in the gym today while using IQ to advantage. Keeps his head on a swivel in the primary break phase and delivers accurate pitch aheads to initiate opportunities. Runs the floor effectively to finish solo at times at or above the rim. A two way 6’4 versatile back court prospect that will continue to build stock as an efficient player in multiple phases.
