Watkins has made the move to Northwood High School and has done an incredible job finding a way to produce at a high level while surrounded by a completely new environment. Watkins is a versatile two way wing with the ability to score at a high level inside the arc, make plays for others with his vision, and defend multiple positions on the floor. For Northwood who is 12-4 and 4-0 in conference play, Watkins is averaging 10.8 Points, 5.5 Rebounds, 3.1 Assists, and 1.3 Steals per game. He’s doing all of that while shooting 59% from the floor and 72% from the line. Watkins doesn’t really shoot three’s and he’s still able to be a productive and impactful player at both ends of the floor. I fully expect him to garner some next level attention as Northwood is poised for a deep deep playoff run.

Watkins is quite the stretch-forward/wing prospect to get to know in the 2026 class as he kicks off Part 3 of the Stock-Risers. He’s got a nice confidence with his shooting stroke on the perimeter while maintaining his ability to attack the painted area with his length and athleticism. He does well to mix things up and remains a quality name for DII and DIII programs to get eyes on.

Watkins was productive on the varsity level next year, and should continue to show off his rapid improvement on the AAU circuit this spring/summer with the NC Wildcats . An elite offensive rebounder, his motor and ability to physically box out and get position for rebounds helps him corral plenty, and a silky touch helps him finish those second chance looks. Plays really hard and is everything regional programs will be looking for in a forward prospect.

Watkins is a name people need to get eyes on soon as he is rapidly rising in terms of guys to watch in the area. The 6’5 forward is averaging 13 PPG and 7.5 RPG on the season, as well as 29 blocks on the year. He alters shots at the rim by either blocking them or causing enough disruption to get the defender to miss, then corralling the rebound in order to get his team out and running in transition. A solid finisher around the basket, he’s good at handling dump off passes and laying them in.
