took a massive leap from his previous freshman year campaign, transforming from little minutes and no scoring to averaging over 11 PPG in his junior season. The versatile 5’9 guard can hurt defenses in a plethora of ways, whether it’s getting open from behind the arc or attacking the rim, Lamar will certainly get the job done. In addition to his deep scoring bag, Lamar’s court vision is astounding, pinpointing his teammates on the cut for easy assists. Expect Lamar to continue rising in the rankings as I expect him to get into a serious groove come his senior year.
Lamar is coming up big for Mountain View, and it’s the little things he does that have him rising in the rankings. Averaging 8.7 points and 2.3 assists, he makes his impact felt beyond the box score. He runs the floor hard in transition, finishes strong at the rim and never hesitates when an opening appears. Defensively he brings energy on the perimeter, uses his range to disrupt passing lanes and turns steals into quick points. His effort, decisiveness and two way presence consistently swing momentum in Mountain View’s favor
Lamar showed his offensive skill set at The Expo proving he can hurt defenses in multiple ways. He has deep shooting range and the confidence to get to his spots. When he puts the ball on the floor he attacks the lane to finish strong at the rim or draw defenders and create scoring opportunities. His ability to score from deep, midrange, and inside makes him a true three level threat who constantly applies pressure. On the defensive end Lamar stays engaged, using his quickness and active hands to contest shots, cut off driving lanes and disrupt plays. With his blend of scoring versatility and defensive effort, Lamar proved to be a reliable two way guard who impacts the game on both sides of the floor
( Rocky Mountain Fever
Black) Lamar is a nice prospect who played a very nice overall floor game. He took care of the ball and knocked down a few perimeter jump shots. Avery also flashed a nice floater game as he got into the lane and finished over bigger players.

was a huge factor for his team on both ends of the floor. As the primary point guard, he broke pressure in the backcourt and helped his team flow into their offense. He was lights out from three when left open, and when defenses keyed in on him, he found ways to playmake and get others involved.
