Avery was his usual self putting on a show with some explosive dunks in the game I watched. If he gets a lane to the rim, look out, because he’s able to take flight and throw down in traffic. Avery had a handful of transition dunks while also showcasing his shot creation ability in the half-court. Can step-back for three or beat his man to the rim off the dribble. He averaged 2.2 ppg last season for Middleton, but looks ready to take on a much bigger role this winter as a senior.

Avery has the physical attributes and developing skillset to be a solid prospect moving forward. At around 6’4-6’5 he has good size on the wing with a strong frame to handle some contact when he attacks the basket. In his last game of the day Avery spent time guarding a 6’9 big, and wasn’t shying away from contact as he made every possession difficult with his fight for position on the block. Offensively he’s an above-the-rim threat in transition but also has a nice pull-up game that allowed him to hit shots from three and mid-range.
