He racked up a bunch of big offers from the event and was one of the best players there. Austin shot the ball well and showed what he can do as the first option. Austin was terrific for Team Takeover as well, and he left this summer as one of my biggest risers. Austin can play either guard position at this level, but I think he will be more of a two at the next level. He is a fantastic defender and one of the best two-way guards in the state.

Even when Austin struggled with his shot in the first session, his rebounding and all-around play were fantastic. He still scored the ball well with 18 PPG in Session 1. When Austin finally found his jump shot, he was one of the best players at the event. His ability to drive and knock down shots made him an elite scorer. His effort on the glass was outstanding, and he was probably the best rebounding guard at the event. He averaged 22 PPG and 10 RPG in session 2.

There’s not too much that hasn’t already been said about Austin. He shot the ball well again and drove to the rim effectively all day. He finished with 27 in STAB’s first game against Wesleyan Christian. He followed that up with 19 points and 16 rebounds against Bishop O’Connell.

Austin is a good defender and a fantastic scorer. He facilitated well today, and Riverdale Baptist couldn’t guard him all game. He finished this game with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Austin will keep rising, and he may be one of the biggest winners of DMVlive.

-Williford stepped up in a big way this weekend for a short-handed STAB group, averaging 18p 8r 3a 1s 1b. His ability to guard 1-4 while playing on or off the ball as an above-the-rim athlete makes him an intriguing MM prospect. Williford needs to continue to improve the handle navigating in tight spaces and take all the hesitation out of 3 point attempts to show the full range of his abilities. Austin can play either guard position, and even if he doesn’t have a huge scoring game, he will have his fingerprints all over the game. Austin did not have a great day shooting the ball, but was impactful in multiple facets. He has a great motor and used it best on the glass. He finished with 19 points and 15 rebounds. He had a similar performance earlier in the day against St. Frances with 20 points and 7 rebounds.
