About Ashton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have been described as a true combo guard. A point guard who is able to read the floor and make the right pass at the right moment. Also able to score all three levels as a guard who enjoys playing defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality has always been to stay humble and to stay true to who I am regardless of what happens. When it comes to basketball it’s just a game I bleed the same and Tie our shoes the same. Therefore mentally we are all the same, but whenever I am on the court I know the amount of time that I’ve spent and the love I have, so I’m gonna outwork anyone in anyway I can so that my team can win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in lots of community service events. Whether that’s giving back to community doing food, dries toy drives or clothing donations.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I No, I have developed a set of skills to truly lead as many people who will follow. My father is my biggest leader in my life, and I have taken so many qualities and traits from him on and off The floor that have a lot of me to become the leader I am today.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Losing my cousin was my biggest challenge. One day having your role model and best friend and the next not having that anymore was a tough challenge for me to face but it has allowed me to become the man I am today.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that allows me to excel in my academic career that also allows me to enjoy and play sport that I love doing.
